Xerox Corporation has been awarded an $848 million contract by the State of Texas to create secure cloud-based services in its data centers. The eight-year contract will modernize and consolidate 28 facilities to two centralized data centers. It will also improve security and its disaster recovery operations.
Additionally, Xerox was also awarded another contract by the Texas Department of Information Resources, worth $53 million. The six-year contract will continue its printing and mailing services such as notices, vehicle titles, and worker’s compensations documents, for some of its state agencies.
Lynn Blodgett, President of Xerox’s services business, said in a statement, “these two contracts amplify our commitment to helping clients simplify their processes through innovation and operational excellence.”
